As a Founder, your most scarce resource is your time, even more so than cash. If you spend your time implementing your Company OS, the opportunity cost is enormous, far more than the salary you'd pay any COO, fractional or otherwise. Your Company OS is thoughtfully conceived and well-implemented. You know your metrics and KPIs and they appear on your dashboards in near-real time. Your Financial Model is comprehensive and realistic, and enables you to compare Actual vs. Forecast quickly every month. Your Board updates, almost automatically generated, are in the same format every time just the way they like it. Your 2hr board meetings are 15min updates, and the rest is tactical and strategic discussion. Your house is in order with minimal additional prep for the diligence that you'll encounter during the next fundraise. Your startup is punching well above its weight operationally, allowing you to focus on the things that matter most: product, customers & investors. Your probability of success is maximized.

Hardware startups are our specialty. HW NPI — Hardware New Product Introduction — is a core competency. From product management through engineering, DFM/DFT, manufacturing ramp, QA/QC, fulfillment, field installation, customer support, and reverse logistics — we've managed every step.

It means you get a seasoned COO without the full-time salary and equity commitment. I work with a small number of startups at a time, giving each one real executive attention — not a few hours of advice per month. Think of it as a full COO brain at a fraction of the cost.

Consultants advise. I embed. I attend your leadership meetings, present to your board, and own outcomes — not slide decks. I'm accountable for what changes, not what gets recommended. If something breaks at 9pm on a Tuesday, I'm the one fixing it.

Primarily pre-Seed through Series A. That's the stage where operations could be ad hoc yet a full-time COO may not be feasible. If you're pre-revenue building your first product, or post-revenue scaling beyond the founding team, that's the sweet spot.

Fast. The Discovery Call is typically within a few days of first contact. The Operations Audit follows shortly after. Most engagements are underway within two to three weeks of that first conversation.

It depends on the engagement. The Operations Audit is a fixed fee. Focused projects are scoped and priced based on deliverables. Fractional COO engagements are a monthly retainer. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices. We scope it together during Engagement Design so you know exactly what you're getting before you commit.

Never. I augment what you have. I work alongside your team, build systems that make them more effective, and fill the gaps that no one currently owns. The goal is to make your existing people better, not to compete with them.
